Evony Review I Think I've Seen This Game

You'll start out as a lord of a certain clan, doing various deeds that don't seem to mix well with the storyline. You'll be doing trivial stuff, separating you from the srmttine. It's actually crazy at some point, much comparable to Superman helping an old woman cross the road, aware that Lois Lane is falling off a building. Browser games have generic plots regardless of its well-written lore. I've had my share of browser gaming goodness, and might I say that most of them tend to dive off the plot 4 minutes into playing it. I guess this is what separates application games from this genre.。

Expanding Lands in Evony

Formerly called Civony, Evony is a Massively Multiplayer Online (MrmtMeb browser game that shines for its strategic features. It's not really a hard game per se, but the dynamics are so enthralling, you'd think you're actually playing an application game.。

 。

 。

All in all, the game is really fun to play whether you subscribe or not. It's really newbie friendly so you don't have to worry about being ganged on when first entering the scene. The visuals are quite impressive especially for a browser game, with well-rendered buildings that blend well in their respective terrain. There are tons of people who are playing the game so it'll brd to feel alone even if you want to be. Tier whoring or subscription whoring may be an issue for those who want an equal basis for all players, but heck there's nothing we can do about that right? The game also features a wide set of linear quests that don't seem to mix with the storyline. It's no biggie... At least the game has quests right?。

 。

You can also expand your empires scope by conquering or befriending other towns. You will earn rewards as you team up with other areas (NPCs) earning either extra soldier, gold or other necessities. Competing with other players (PVP) is one of the main attractions of today's MMO games. No one could ever resist beating down other players to boost their online ranks and self worth. Worry not new players! You will be given a 7-day immunity period against enemy attacks (specifically other players) when starting the game. Once you've established your base and array of soldiers, you'll probably be the one to beg for the barrier/immunity to go down LOL. The game has an outstanding community, making it hard for you not to fight. As much as the words MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER oncerned, I'd say that player population is good enough for you to enjoy playing this game for a long time.。

The bad:
- Bad grammar
- Connection fails most of the time (even for some DSLs)
- Micro Transactions (tier whoring)
- It stays away from the plot。

 。

Although the game has certain balance issues like the overpowered archers, combat can still be considered as good in Evony. You can pick from an array of soldiers, dressing them up and gearing them up to further compliment their efficiency in battle. You can also team up with other players or join an alliance to give you the upper hand. There are variouys to insure victory in this game, either by tier whoring or by simply ganging up on multiple targets.。

Evony looks a lot like Age of Empires and Civilization. After looking at what the game's graphics have to offer, I was astounded at how much these games have evolved throughout the years (wasn't Kingdom of Loathing just err... MS Paint-bas.。

 。

The graphics are flawless and look a lot different when compared to other browser games. Everything is properly rendered, with a diverse set of buildings that are easy on the eyes. I guess browser games have taken their visuals to the next level. The elements work well together, creating harmony between the elements. Other games have failed miserably when attempting this kind of approach, considering the fact that most of their elements stand out instead of blend in with the other features. With that in mind, this gtruly reeks of awesomeness.。

 。

Imbalanced Advantages

 。

 。

 。

 。

 。

Yeah, just as the header suggests, everything that's acquired with real money can really boost your advantage over players who play for free. It's a cheap trick being pulled by most of the games that dub themselves free to play. I've tried tons of subscription methods for various MMOs from browser games to application ones. Although they aren't requ for you to fully enjoy the game, they do provide an imbalanced advantage over other players. This really destroys the whole point of the words FREE TO PLAY... well, they didn't say FREE TO ENJOY or FREE TO TIERWHORE so I guess they're safe.。

One thing about this game is its funny grammar. I really can't specify how many grammatical errorse spotted during my game time. God please don't let this beautiful game end up like Zero Wing "ALLYOURBASEAREBELONGTOUS!"。

Building a Town

Evony Review: I Think I've Seen This Game Before
By Kei Beneza (dividelife), OnRPG journalist。

If you're familiar with games like Farmville, you know what it's like to wait for something to grow, or in this case build. Some structures in the game takes days to build. Think of it as though you're really in charge of a virtual world that builds itself in real time. Units are trained the same way as well, making it a bit realistic but dull with waiting. I'm not really that much of a waiter so this part of the game didn't appeal to me that much; however, the waiting time builds your suspense, hoping you don't get attacked before your walls are built. It's a very awesome factor. Fast paced games > slow ones? Guess not. I'm not sure if you're willing to invest that much ton a browser game, but they sure are good when you're dead bored at work.。

 。

Building in Evony

 。

Browser games are currently what turns non gamers into mind numbed zombies who will do their best to sneak a few minutes from work just to check on their online characters. Browser games are more or less work safe. They don't crash your computer, they don't look like games, and most of all they're easily closed (haha! I win Mr. Supervisor dude!). The best part about browser game is that they're system friendly. Yon't really need to upgrade your PC 3 times a year to play these babies.。

 。

 。

The good:
- Awesome visuals
- Quests
- Micro Transactions
- Big community。

 。

Mexico nabs top lieutenant of dreaded Zet

MEXICO CITY — Mexican police arrested a top lieutenant of the Zetas drug cartel who was linked to the murder of a U.S. immigration agent in February, Mexico's security ministry said Monday. Police captured Jesus "El Mamito" Rejon in a Mexico City suburb on Sunday "without firing a shot," the ministry said in a statement.Rejon is a founding member and currently third in command of the Zetas, which was started by former Mexican special forces soldiers and is considered the country's most brutal cartel.Turf wars between the Zetas and other cartels have transformed parts of Mexico into lawless killing grounds and scared away some foreign investors.Rejon was traveling with a Mexico City police officer who was brokering the drug lord's passage through the region, the ministry said. The police officer was also arrested.Around 40,000 people have died in Mexico's drug wars since President Felipe Calderon took office in December 2006. Calderon has deployed the military to the streets to attack the powerful cartels. The United States had offered a $5 million dollar reward for Rejon, who the Mexican security ministry said played a role in the shooting of two U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents earlier this year. The agents were driving in an armored vehicle on a highway from San Luis Potosi to Mexico City in February when they were ambushed in broad daylight by suspected drug gang members. An ICE agent, Jaime Zapata, was killed and another agent, Victor Avila, was wounded in the leg.

Katy Perry to Appear in After School Spec

TMZ has learned Katy Perry has organized a surprise concert for students and staff at her old high school ... and it's all going down today -- as soon as the final bell rings. According to sources close to the singer, Katy is dropping by Dos Pueblos HS near Santa Barbara, CA -- where she spent her freshman year -- to put on a free concert for the students and faculty. An employee from the school tells TMZ it was all Katy's idea -- explaining that Perry's people reached out to them with the proposition ... and the school thought it would be a cool experience for the kids. Obviously, the school is aware of Perry's "racier" songs -- like "I Kissed a Girl" -- and that's why they won't allow Katy to perform until after classes are out ... and students and/or parents that have issues with the content can leave if they so choose. According to the school employee, Katy was also advised to keep things "school appropriate" -- and we're guessing that means no boob-grabbing.

Sources close to Welch tell us ... the dancer was simply minding her own business on a private jet leaving Bogota, Colombia ... when Demi "walked up to Alex and with a closed fist, struck her on the left side of her face."We're told Alex was knocked clean out of her seat -- and had to receive emergency medical attention. Lovato was immediately removed from the plane and eventually returned home -- and then checked herself into a treatment center shortly after. Alex -- who completed the remaining dates on the Jonas Brothers tour -- has now lawyered up with high powered Beverly Hills attorney Donald Karpel and we're told she's "considering her legal options."

Apple has peaked, decline inevitable - EA founder

EA founder Trip Hawkins, presently founder and boss of developer Digital Chocolate, has said Apple is peaking and will see decline within "a year or two". "It's an amazing thing what [Steve Jobs has] done with Apple," said Hawkins - who was the director of strategy and marketing at Apple in 1982 under Jobs before quitting to found that small company known as EA. "But if you want to be objective," he added, "it's very close to peaking right now. If you look at any institution in history - look at the Roman Empire - anything in history, and what it looks like when it's peaking. Look at Apple, and how can you say it's not peaking?"He went on: "The CEO is still alive, let's start there. They invented this tablet thing that's going to be really big. They've done really well by reinventing the phone. They breathed new life into the Mac. They've got this super-high marketing. All these things are about as good as they ever can be - how much better can it really get?"The thing is, it may take another year or two before it starts to decline, but it has to - everything does," he said. Not everyone would agree. Former PlayStation executive VP Phil Harrison recently made the sensational prediction that Apple won't just dominate the video games industry in ten years' time - it will own it."At this trajectory, if you extrapolate the market-share gains that they are making, forward for ten years - if they carry on unrestrained in their growth, then there's a pretty good chance that Apple will be the games industry," Harrison told Edge. I was at a party — I’d never met her — and she was like, 'Come sit down.' So I sit at her table and talk for 10 minutes, and she goes, 'I think it’s time for you to leave now.'""So I say, 'January, you are an actress in a show and everybody’s going to forget about you in a few years, so f*cking be nice,' and I got up and left. And she thinks that’s funny.'"TSL then asked if Zach would ever do a sex scene with January -- and he replied, "I wouldn't want to. I'd hate it."

Aside from that, the game does become a little dull when you stay logged in more so when you log in during the time where your region seems on the opposite side of the world and that their day and night time are different from yours. If you want to spend your free time building things in a Lego-like fashion and you'd like to let the whole world know about it, Fresbo World is the game for you.。Aside from the customization and creation features the game has, Fresbo World has a unique mini-game that gives the game more charm. The game is called Pass the Bomb, you literally have to pass a bomb to other players and that you have to make sure it doesn't explode on you or your teammate. You start off with a random dealer of the bomb and that the dealer knows when the bomb's going to explode. You have to second guess when the bomb will explode so you have to utilize your devious mind and hope for the best.。Another thing that's very convenient in Fresbo World is that your avatar can be linked from the game database to your forum account so you don't have to go through the hassle of trying to setup a separate forum account for Fresbo World's forum. The mini-game feature that Fresbo World has provides a refreshing change of pace if you get tired of being a "Block Picasso". The games are simple to understand and very addicting, what's more, you get rewarded credits which you can spend on either shopping for your avatar or getting yourself more blueprints and blocks that you can tinker with.。Cons:
- Lack of sufficient players when playing some people dependent mini-games
- The game needs more mini-games because it gets repetitive
- Some features are cash dependent.。 。The multiple house feature is also a nice addition to the game. Most of the blueprints you buy are big and would take ma lot of space that's why it would seem prudent to store them in different locations to maximize your space and to make things look neater for your victual abode.。The Pass the Bomb game in Fresbo World is another outstanding feature. The game mixes deception, math and deduction to make such an interesting and fun game to play. This is a nice escape from the brooding claustrophobic room where your character seems to be hanging out often because he/she is making another block masterpiece. Fresbo World is a social game in its core and this shows in the simplicity and ease of the social interface. Adding people and getting more information about them is also easy, all you need to do is click on their avatar and just read.。Fresbo World has a blueprint system. The blueprint works like a model kit where you get the parts for the structure you bought. You will also have a reference picture that you can overlap as you slowly build the structure you bought. Purchase able blueprints vary, the most common of which are displays where you can put in your home. The shops also sells blueprints for houses. If you have blocks to spare you can customize or add some of them to your finished blueprint design. With the game having a lot of blueprints on sale, there will never be enough space for you if you're going to store it in one place. Fresbo World has the option of giving you up to twenty 'homes' where you can store your works of art. You can decide on the overall design of your home to suit your needs as you make one.

。 By Vincent Haoson (Vincenthaoson), OnRPG Journalist。Fresbo World is one of those MMO games that you can play for hours without realizing that it already ate up most of your time. Building the blueprint items that you acquire in the game takes most of your time while giving you the free reign to do what you please after finishing the design. What's more is that you are not limited to creating designs that fit your room, you can go as far as creating your house or even create replicas of real life items. Fresbo World is like your online version of Legos where the game only provides the building blocks and it's up to your creativity to create whatever you want. What's more is that you get to showcase your creations either through the forums or in-game. All you have to do is either invite friends to come down to your home or post the pictures in the forums.。Pros:
- Simple and addicting gameplay
- Social interaction is simple but effective
- You are given enough freedom to go wild with your creations.

Eudemons Online Interview A Look into Demon Rising

 。

OnRPG: Eudemons Online has been around for several years, and still remains popular. How do you explain your success?
Fantasy is a rather old MMO genre. How to stand out and stay vibrant is the thing. Since the release of Eudemons Online, the team has been very clear that only to keep improving, bringing new elements and to build a strong player community, can this game survive and thrive. In the past few years, we have released quite a few major updates to meet the players' growing demands, including a new class named Paladin which helps balance the gameplay, new skills, new quests, new Eudemons and the Apotheosis system, which grants players with god-like power. There are more but I suppose no need to list them all here. The point is, we always stay connected with the players, listening carefully to their thoughts. We're proud to have a very active and engaged community playing this game right now. They came up lots of good ideas which later turn into reality in game. Without their support, we could never have come so far. It's great to see that our players love this new expansion. We really worked very hard on it!That's exactly what we want to see. The results are very encouraging!。

OnRPG: How will players access these dungeons? Where are they found?
A scroll will be put in your inventory. Right click to open it. The list of the quests will be displayed. Click on the quest you are doing. Then the Auto-Path system will automatically direct you to the destination. Talk to the NPC, and then, you will sent into the dungeon. It's simple.。

OnRPG: Thank you very much for your time!。

Eudemons Online Interview: A Look into Demon Rising
By Joshua Piercy (elazulblack), OnRPG Journalist。

OnRPG: Eudemons Online features an item mall in which players can purchase various items and outfits using EPs. Are there any new items which will available for purchase alongside the release of Demon Rising?
No for now, soon there will be, though! haha...。

Eudemons is a game which focuses on questing and raising demons known as "Eudemons". It has been around for several years now, but continues to be very successful and continues to be updated frequently. The most recent of these updates, "Demon Rising", introduces new high level content to the game in the form of new dungeons, as well as new bosses. We at OnRPG had the opportunity to speak to the product manager of Eudemons Online in order to get a closer look at this update.。

OnRPG: In Demon Rising, players will have to defeat four "demon leaders", as well as a more powerful boss, "Avenging Alamut". What is the idea behind these demons? Are there any particular themes which they follow?
Good v.s evil, or white v.s black, is the permanent topic. While this time, we are looking into a rather grey part, with two kinds of blood blended. If you look into the background story, you will find that most of the Bosses leading the Demons fought on the human side during the last Demon War. The story is about corruption, that is to say, humans are facing enemies of their own making this time. Evil defeats good when good becomes evil. But why did they fall and how?  That's how the story goes.。

 。

Questing in Eudemons

 。

OnRPG: What is your personal favorite addition to the game which can be found in Demon Rising? Why?
No doubt, the quests. To be honest, I haven't passed the last one yet. Lol... Every time I was close to reaching the final success, it turned out to be another unsuccessful attempt. I have to work harder, I guess. :D。

Dusk Wolf

New gameplay mechanics has also be introduced to our players. Players have to rely on one another so as to defeat the final Boss, all the while trying very hard not to get killed.。

 。

OnRPG: What can Eudemons players expect to find in future content updates beyond Demon Rising?
We will have new flying mounts, as I just mentioned, and some new extending quests. Hopefully, there will be more features in future. For now, I can just assure these. Our team is working on the project now. I am expecting to see the new content as bad as you are!。

OnRPG: What was your inspiration behind Demon Rising? What motivated you to create the content in this expansion?
After the Divine Path was released, we started the project of Demon Rising. How should the story develop? What kinds of additions should be brought in game...things like that...In the end, we came up with the idea of corruption, the good fall and the evil rise. Demon Rising is supposed to provide a deeper, more polished and engaging gaming experience for our players。

 。

OnRPG: The website says that there are new gameplay mechanics in Demon Rising. Can you please describe these new mechanics?
We can refine the definition into just one word, teamwork. In the past, players used to do quests on their own. In this expansion, the quests are extremely difficult. What players will be confronted is nothing like before. Players will be going through a legendary quest line in this new expansion. There are 5 independent quests, along with some other sub-quests. Only by defeating the other 4 demon leaders will the players gain the key and other powers indispensable to defeating Avenging Alamut, the final and most challenging leader of the demonic horde. The last quest is ranked a 9-star difficulty quest.。

 。

 。

 。

 。

 。

OnRPG: Do you have any final words that our readers?
Well, I'd like to first thank our fans who have been helping us spreading the word and we appreciate every bit of help they've given us. Their involvement is the game's biggest success. And then, to all, Demon Rising is something you really don't want to miss. Everybody should really take a shot! It won't let you down! We'll be doing our best to bring up more features!。

 。

 。

OnRPG: What new content can be found within Demon Rising other than new monsters and new quests?
In the first part of the expansion, we didn't bring any new function or items. The quests are the major content. The fact is, we would like our players to discover more possibilities with the existing functions and to challenge themselves. Talking about other features, the first noticeable feature is the graphic. A vast and complicated quest region is open to adventurers. Players will be thrilled when they see the fabulous landscapes.。

OnRPG: Will any of the new content available be accessible by new or low level players?
The new quests are accessible to players who are level 50+ . We strongly recommend players team up to do the quests.。

 。

OnRPG: What sort of new world items can players expect to find in Demon Rising?
Well, just as we've promised before, what we have now is not the full content of this expansion. And now, our players can start the count-down to embrace their long-expected FLYING MOUNT!!  Yes, that's true. Very soon!  You know what, when I first saw these lovely mounts, they remind me quite of the gigantic blazing flying dragon in AVATAR! Lol...Anyway, they are pretty cool. And there will be more features coming in near feature. All you need to do is keep a close eye on us.。

OnRPG: Hello! We appreciate you taking the time to answer our questions about Eudemons Online. Before we get into the questions though, could you please introduce yourself?
Well thank you! Hi, everybody, my name is Doris Zheng. I am the product manager of Eudemons Online. It's a great pleasure for me to have this opportunity to introduce our newly released expansion, Demon Rising.。

 。

 。

For the first-try players, no one can handle it on their own, not even the player of the highest BP. You will be encountering all kinds of traps and dangers. Besides, there is time limit for the quests. Thus, team work between different classes' combinations and strategic cooperation become vitally important. Players have to build a great team, discussing how to cope with the situations they are going to meet. It could be very challenging and exciting! The quests really help improve players' gaming techniques. Keep it up, you'll only grow stronger and stronger.。

OnRPG:  What would you consider to be your favorite Eudemon available in the entire game?
Oh, there are many kinds of Eudemons, mainly divided in 2 groups, mage and warrior. Speaking of my favorite Eudemon, I have to mention the Astral Eudemons. We released the astral series last fall. Every month, they will be one constellation Eudemon released. To me, my favorite one is the Gemini Eudemons. Gemini is my sign. :D。

 。

 。

Alamut in Eudemons

 。

OnRPG: The title "Demon Rising" is rather ambiguous. Could you please tell us more about the back-story of Demon Rising?
Demon Rising has opened a new era for Eudemons Online. It is a story about corruption, not all about the good against the evil. You can call it an extension, in which, the good fall and the evil rise. The story is related to the Divine Path, our last expansion, about what happened on Cronus after the triumph of the first Demon War. One of the Divine Generals, Alamut, suffered the loss of his beloved wife after being betrayed by his Kingdom. He abandoned his faith and surrendered his soul to the vicious Demon King. The Demon King was very clear that it was the chance he'd been waiting for the entire time. For years, they'd been trying to find a breakthrough, taking revenge for what they'd lost in the last battle, and now they got it. Thus, the avenging Alamut was endowed with unparalleled demonic power and started to hit his stride of vengeance.。

Eudemons: Demon Rising Surroudings

Enjoy the long-expected flying mounts

 。

 。

Demon Rising

OnRPG: I see that there are several new dungeons available in the new expansion. Could you please describe them a bit?
In this expansion, every quest has its own independent map. Our designers have spent lots of time and massive efforts have been dedicated to making this part perfect. The maps are full of unexpected dangers and traps. Each new environment creates a memorable experience for the player. We've worked on little details to make sure that each one is distinct with own unique feel. Sometimes players will find some hidden hints on some specific spots in the map during the process which will later be found indispensable. Sometimes they have to talk to a specific NPC so that they can proceed to the next step. Your eyes have to be wide open when you are wondering in the mystic place.。

World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft is a MMORPG that is p2p. Great game, but does have it's problems.
Sound/background music I don't really pay much attention, but its great. I love the sound affects when swinging a sword or when an enemy dies, no problems here. 9/10
Gameplay Very fun, even when you first log on. I am currently a level 9 shaman, on blackrock server. I got into a great guild, 60 members currently. We plan to do FvF (Faction vs faction) raids. The big focus on WoW is the PvP and FvF aspects of it. A lot of fun :) When I was alliance (I'm Horde now) We had 25 Alliance against 50 horde...that turned out bad :P. I love all the skills too, shamans get totems, hunters can tame pets at level 10. Warlocks can summon demonic pets, etc...9.4/10
Problems/bugs Well, like all MMORPGs, there are bugs and problems. Currently, some classes are to powerful and people are leveling wayy to fast. One person already reached lvl 60 and game hasn't been out long. Also macros and other programs are out, but Blizzard is stopping those cheaters, which is good :) They haven't fixed the stuch bug, I got stuck once, but luckily they have a unstuck option. Other then that (and besides graphic bugs), haven't encountered any other problems/bugs. 6/10
Graphics http://www.flickr.com/photos/56871568@N00/ for a bunch of pictures. The graphics may not be up to date as other games and the cartoony stype turns some people away. I myself love them, I love echo island near the orc/troll starting place, beautiful place...a defenate have to visit (the monsters there are really tough so) But...there are graphics bugs. When running, sometimes you see your weapon go through you and low lvl capes aren't that great looking eather. 7/10
Overall/other Great game, with some problems, usually like MMORPGs when they are first released. A defenate must have, not many classes/races...but they are very hard to choose which one to play. They all fit someones play style. The community overall is great, but maybe thats cause I'm in a good guild :P If you ever log on to Blackrock server, feel free to message Vendayn :) 8.3/10

Muniz Online Review Cuteness and Gameplay Combined!

Of course, like in real life, marriages have its pitfalls. So, if you don’t want to be with your Muniz Online partner because of one reason or another, the game provides you a way out. Yep, that’s right, you can divorce your “partner” and return to becoming a Chapati, Chapato or Chapata that is single and ready to mingle.。The game feels familiar because the gameplay is almost similar to Club penguin and Gaia Online. The customization and the exploration are similar, though some aspects of the game tend to lean on different paths.。Besides the gameplay elements found on Muniz Online, the game is obviously centered on teens rather than those hardcore gamers. The cutesy graphics the game is the obvious proof. Though this may not deter the more community-centered gamers regardless of how childish the sprites may be.。
The game combines cuteness factor, a variety of mini-games you can spend time on, MMO elements like a quest and level system and community enhancing features like a marriage system and even a customize-your-own home feature. The result of this mixture of elements basically describes what Muniz Online is.。The quests are somewhat required because areas in Muniz Online are level locked. So if you want to explore more of the island then you’d really have to spend the time to explore and level.。The level-game system tie-in is a good decision to keep players interested on playing but the inefficiency of the quest system can kill the fun factor. If the quest system was more user-friendly and make it less asking-the-people reliant then it would really make this game a gem.。The marriage system in Muniz Online is similar to the requirements when you are getting married in real life. You would need a place for the wedding to take place, witnesses and of course your significant other. Marriage in Muniz Online is as easy as it can be. There’s no gold or level requirement, you don’t even need to have a house of your own to get married.。One of my major problems with Muniz Online is its lack of any decent quest guides. I’ve tried looking for one in the forums but all I saw were a few questions on how to do certain quests. This can really miff some players especially when you log into the game and the people you get to talk to are as helpful as a bunch of toddlers being asked for directions.。 By Vincent Haoson, Onrpg writer。
What sets Muniz Online apart from the other browser games that I mentioned earlier on is that it has a marriage system. That’s right. The game has a marriage system.。Also, for a community based game like Muniz Online, it would seem that the forum still needs to become very active. As a game that belongs to this genre there is already stiff competition with Gaia Online, who has a bigger forum base and has already, established itself as a community-game. I myself can’t help but compare the two because of the stark similarities.。Still, as a flash game that is highly reliant to a big community base, Muniz Online still has a long way to go before it can be a big thing. The game can’t really attract the hardcore gamers because the gameplay is centered for teens, or at least for those people who would rather go for a community rather than playing. I would say that if you are into community based games then by all means try it out. Though my word of caution is that this game is made for teens, if you would like for a more mature community game go somewhere else.。Muniz Online is a browser-based game from Acclaim, the company that has brought games like 9 Dragons, 2Moons and Bots! into the MMO scene.。Muniz Online has the tendency to be a little too cutesy. This can be bothersome for older gamers who would like to try the game. However if you would give the game a little leeway you can filter out the cuteness factor and just enjoy it. 。
As a game that is community-based, Muniz Online has the right stuff. Most of the elements that make a community work and prosper are found in the game. The first proof of this fact is that the game gets boring If you don’t find anyone to talk to. Yes, you may quest or earn for that item you want your avatar to have, or even play all the mini-games that are available in Muniz Online, but those things won’t make you keep on playing.。
Pros
- Customizable avatars
- No need for downloads
- There are a lot of things you can do in-game
- Avatar leveling can keep you hooked

Cons
- Too cute for hardcore gamers
- Forum community is not that big
- Sounds can be irritating
- Lack of a decent Quest guide。Speaking of progressing through the world of Muniz Online, the exploration starts when you click on the Chat tab found in the website. You don’t need to download anything because it basically runs on flash and traveling through the islands is basically done on-site. 。The level system infuses the MMORPG feel into Muniz Online, though unlike most MMOs where the quest is already listed down, in Muniz Online you’d need to search for the quest NPCs that are scattered within the island.。When you start playing Muniz Online, you get to choose from three different default skins, the cute egg-like Chapati, the male humans, Chapato, or the female counterpart the Chapata. Muniz Online lets you choose from a limited set of starting clothes that you can put on your avatar. You can get more clothes and accessories for your avatar as you progress through the world of Muniz Online.。Another thing that I noticed is the sound of the game. Though at first the inaudible and kid-style sound your avatar creates whenever you chat or make a smiley is cute and hilarious, you’ll eventually want to just turn of the game’s audio and plug in other mp3s.。Another difference of Muniz Online to other games of the same genre is the leveling system. Muniz Online’s leveling system is unique to the genre because unlike in Penguin Club or Gaia Online where all the game features are available, Muniz Online requires you to reach certain levels before you can do certain things in the game.

Gates of Andaron Free-to-Play WoW

The game prompts you to choose between Derion and Valorian from the very beginning. You can choose from three races which are available to both kingdoms: the Humans who are, while physically agile and flexible, intelligent enough to utilize technology; the feline Neved who are very much in tune with nature; and the Fairies who have mastered the elements of magic. All classes are available to all races: the strong Warriors, the stealthy Night Walkers, evasive Archers, elemental Magicians, the healing Priests, and creature masters called Evocators. If you want to try all of the classes, you can create up to 6 characters in your account.。

 。

The game's website is peppered with primers for new players. While I laude the fact that GoA doesn't charge players for their weapon repairs like what Allods Online, GoA will make you pay with real money for mounts that will only be available for a certain duration. I'm not exactly sure at this point which is the lesser evil. Speaking of money, there is no auction house in the game. Of all the things that GoA didn't adopt from WoW, it had to be one of the most useful and efficient features in an MMO. In this game, you have to vend or set up a shop to offer your goods. Thank goodness it's F2P or I'd have torn a ligament over a day or two of my paid monthly wasted on AFK vending.。

 。

 。

Actually, Gates of Andaron and 4Story are like identical twins developed by ZEMI Interactive. They both have the same history, identical looks, and some habits, but the two have different personalities and different clothes. While 4Story is globally released and directly updated by ZEMI Interactive, Gameforge 4D secured the rights to publish the game as Gates of Andaron for the North American market with ZEMI Inc's support. GoA tweaked the chronicles and most character names, and the two have some different features.。

 。

 。

 。

 。

Like other players, I can't help but compare GoA's graphics to that of the almost seven-year old World of Warcraft. It is very vivid, eye candy, and also a little on the cartoony side. But don't let the graphics fool you into thinking that GoA lacks seriousness as a game. The beauty of the combination of the game's lore and cartoony graphics is that it balances out the lore's intensity with fun and enjoyable-looking characters. Another function of these graphics is that the game does not demand high PC specs to be able to run on maximum settings.。

By Mitch Baylosis-Benesa (Syllica)。

 。

The plot of GoA, while undeniably already overused in MMORPGs, still works well because of the features that mesh with the plot. Because of the given conflict, expect to be conquering territories, laying siege on castles and killing enemies from the other faction as a staple of the game. The instances also provide light to the mysteries that still shroud the game's world.。

Let me clarify what I think some of you have been wondering about: why does Gates of Andaron (GoA) look a hell of a lot like 4Story-from the graphics and interface, right down to its spells? The answer is pretty simple: the game is actually one and the same. So why is there the need to release the same content with two different names?。

The similarity to WoW doesn't stop there. Don't worry; I am not going to turn the game review into a complete compare-and-contrast with WoW. In fact, I think that this is one of GoA's advantages as a Free-to-Play game. GoA managed to pull off some of the same ingenious tricks that WoW, the pay-to-play MMORPG has done, such as ending up in the graveyard as a soul when you die. You must return to your body to be revived. Just watch out if you die in the middle of aggressive creatures or a player from the opposing faction starts camping your body. The latter scenario will be unavoidable since killing enemy players will earn you Achievement Points, which you can use for crafting. Don't fret though, a certain player may want to only kill you for a maximum of 3 times since they will no longer receive Achievement Points after that. You have 10 minutes to scram afterwards and call backup to hunt down the creeper LOL. If you wanted to play WoW but weren't convinced enough to pay monthlies, then GoA could be your alternative. Suffice to say, 4Story does have a lot of common things with WoW as well.。

 。

The interface is neat and doesn't take much screen space, but the sounds are just standard. There are also a lot of assigned buttons for alternate control, like the WASD keys for directional movement instead of point-and-clicking, R for run, and instant target hunting with the Tab button. Pretty much all the key options that everyone MMO should have, but not all do. Also, being part of a guild will allow you to experience Area Conquest, which fills your lust for regional conquest battles.。

 。

。 。

 。

Gates of Andaron tells the tale of the gods, whose creation became the center for greed and a quest for power by the different races. Known as Andaron in the old days, Iberia became the battleground of Derion and Valorian, the two warring kingdoms who both believed that they earned the gods' favour. Caught in between is Gor, another kingdom that refuses to take sides and remains neutral.。

 。

 。

GoA has a workable and enjoyable system. It has cartoony but vivid graphics, a perfect balance of pvp and pve mixed content, and a rich lore that ties together the plethora of features in the game. While the elements and features have been done already and have been somewhat blatantly copied from other MMOs, GoA can still be an appetizing game amongst the free-to-play MMORPG throng. But it still lacks the substance of a main course MMO. GoA's population is decent, but how the staff will keep their players hooked on GoA will be the question since its twin is already offering citizen switch to the neutral kingdom. Overall, I guess the defining factor for GoA to be enjoyable is how the community grows as an integral part of the game because it not only has to compete with the genre itself but against a clone of the same game.

League of Legends Karma's a Bitch, Ain't it

 。

Her Ultimate, Mantra [R], will allow her next ability to perform an additional effect, usually performing a reverse function to the original ability.。

 。

 。

 。

 。

 。

Heavenly Wave is her main support skill, though it requires some finesse to use, much like Lux's Prismatic Barrier. Ideally, you want to be using this to both injure enemies, and heal allies, but in most circumstances this can be used to heal people when they're not all running around like headless chickens somewhere safe. Using the enhanced version of this, alongside a normal Soul Shield is a very safe, sustainable means of farming, provided you have a means of keeping her mana up.。

Mantra is unusual in that she receives it for free at level 1, and cannot level it further after that. To compensate for this, the rest of her abilities have 6 levels, rather than the usual 5. Most of her abilities are below par on their own, but when enhanced with Mantra, they perform very well. Mantra has an ammo system, allowing Karma to carry up to two stacks of Mantra at a time, which are indicated either in the buff bar or by the little red fans floating around her.。

 。

 。

 。

Pick up Heavenly Wave or Soul Shield early and max it first, depending on if you intend to go support or damage. This ability is the better choice for support and sustainability.。

 。

 。

Before you think a fight is about to kick off, it's a good idea to prime Mantra ahead of time, as the frustratingly long cooldown will be that little bit shorter if you have another stack building while Karma is holding onto a Mantra. This almost grants you a third stack if you get the timing down very precisely, and you have stacked a good deal of cooldown reduction later in the game. Mastery of Mantra management is the differences between an awful Karma and a great one.。

Greetings fellow summoners! This is the patch v1.0.0.110 article for League of Legends, the game containing the sexiest of Buddhas. This patch sees inflation hit Runeterra as Doran raises his prices, mages feel a bit less runic, but a bit more magical and Karma, The Enlightened One takes to the fields of justice.。

Soul Shield looks like a support ability, but is actually better suited as her primary nuke and harassing tool, since it can be used on minions as well as champions. As a champion moves in to last hit a minion, you shield it, stopping the hit, and then the following explosion does a significant amount of damage. Your tank rushing into an enemy team is its most obvious usage later in the game, the resulting explosion putting you in a life lead for any team fight. Following this with an enhanced Heavenly Wave for more damage and healing can secure a victory in your favour.。

League of Legends: Karma's a Bitch, Ain't it?
Patch v1.0.0.110, Karma, AI revamps, and the greed of Doran
By Jason (Hhean) Harper, OnRPG Journalist。

 。

 。

Pick this up either when your enemies pick up boots in order to maintain a mobility advantage or when you feel the laning phase is coming to a close, and will need the added mobility to get you and your teammates around the map. Max it out last.。

 。

A note to those playing against Karma - When she has none of those fans floating about, that's a great time to attack without mercy.。

 。

9/0/21 works fine on her for masteries. Cooldown runes on her are a must. Mp5 per level, and magic penetration on her are solid choices, along with ability power. Clarity is great for her lane sustainability, since she has no mana regeneration abilities, and can eat through her blue bar at speed if she chooses to. Ghost works very well alongside Spirit Bond for getting around the map.。

 。

This can be used as a farming tool, as you can target a minion, then use the tether to damage anything nearby. The drawback to this trick though is it will usually leave you out of position, and her other two abilities can farm more effectively while leaving her less exposed.。

Karma benefits greatly from having an organized team, both from the very specific placement required in order to maximise Spirit Bond, needing a friendly target to perform her most damaging ability, and her allies needing to be standing in the correct position between her and her enemies in order to be healed. In solo queuing she suffers greatly because of this, but in a premade team she can do quite well. I'm finding her a hard champion to judge the overall power of because of this, and that's after half a week of near constant play. My final verdict on her currently stands that she's good, but not great. If you're looking for a complicated, deep character with plenty of versatility, give her a go. Just remember to use all of her abilities backwards to what looks like their intended purpose at first glance.。

The most significant change to the game overall though is the increase in the cost of Doran's items. Expect to see much more conservative play from here on in, and an increase in people buying cheaper items so they can stock up on potions. Rejuvenation Beads, Sapphire Crystals and Meki Pendants are most likely going to be seen a lot more from here on out.。

 。

 。

Item wise, you want to focus on ability power and cooldown reduction for her. Focusing more on cooldown early will allow her access to Mantra more frequently, which on a support focused Karma will allow for more healing. A damage dealing should think more about her ability power earlier on. On either build, Ionian boots are a good choice, netting her some early game cooldown at a low cost. Provided you aren't being crowd controlled so heavily that Mercury Treads become a must, that is. Banksy's Deathcap works very well on her, given its synergy with her passive. Due to the close range of many of her abilities, Abyssal Scepter makes a great defensive/offensive item when dealing with magic heavy teams. Soul Shroud is a great support item on her giving both her and her teammates her much needed cooldown. Despite the increased cost, a Doran's Ring works fine on Karma to begin with, due to few of the cheaper items building into something optimal for her.。

 。

Karma is a damage dealing support character, or a damage dealing mage with good support capabilities, depending on how you choose to build, level and play her. She is quite possibly the most unintuitive character in the game, best suited to using her defensive abilities to hurt the enemy and using her damaging abilities to aid her allies. She is highly adaptive, and more than any other character in game, should change her levelling order and item build depending on ally and enemy team composition.。

 。

 。

 。

The new AI are a fun diversion to engage in when testing out builds, but they're incredibly stupid still. Rather hoping the upcoming intermediate difficulty for the co-op mode will break this trend.。

 。

To discuss some of the changes yourselves, visit the League of Legends section of our forums, or post in the massive League of Legends thread in the free to play MMOs section. If you haven't tried League of Legends yet. Now is the perfect time.。

 。

Soul Shield [E], creates a protective shield on a friendly target, absorbing a set amount of damage. If you expend Mantra, the shield will explode the moment its cast, hurting everything in a large area around the target.。

Spirit Bond [W], shoots out a tether to an ally or enemy near her. Any allies who are hit by the tether, or move through the tether will give them a movement speed increase. An enemy you target will be slowed, and any enemy moving through the tether (Whether its tied to friend or foe) will be damaged and slowed. Using Mantra on this ability will increase the slow or speed boost, which can be useful for moving between lanes or chasing. Generally though, try to avoid enhancing this in anything close to a real fight, as she only has two stacks available, and her other two abilities are more useful for aiding allies and killing enemies.。

The gap between the haves and the have nots got shortened this patch, with mana regeneration overall being buffed, while mana regeneration runes got nerfed. The nerfing of health quintessences lets theory crafters debate which quintessences to pick up, and may now allow for a greater array of choices. I would guess that we will likely see a slight rise in the number of armour pen., magic pen., and movement speed quintessences.。

Heavenly Wave [Q], is a short range conical attack that can be enhanced by her mantra to also heal allies in the cone and herself for the same amount. It's not quite as short range as it appears though, as the visual on her cone is slightly smaller than the ability's actual range.。

 。

Her passive, Inner Flame, gives her ability power as she loses health. While this is useful, don't try to use it to maximise her damage output. It's worth remembering that it does make her Soul Shield better though, which can save her from a gank on occasion.。

If you're looking to pump out damage, and want to do some heavy harassment during the laning phase, this is a great early game pick. Max this first for a damage dealing Karma with a support ability on the side. This is my personal preference, since the shield and incredible range on the attack can keep your health up enough that the lower healing from her Heavenly Wave won't be as much of a concern.。

D&D Stormreach Review

by Vincent Haoson, Onrpg writer

Porting a well-known and loved tabletop role-playing game like Dungeons & Dragons into an MMO is no mean feat. Turbine, the company that brought you games like LOTR Online and Asheron’s Call in fact attempted to bring the whole D&D experience to the MMO scene. That is why we have Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stromreach, with its 8th module update recently released. MMO players finally get to taste what it feels like to be part of the whole D&D universe.

Character Creation
First up, character creation. Players get to choose what fighting style their DDO character will use, they can choose to be a melee, spell or specialist. The character’s job class is highly dependent on the style they choose. If players go with the melee, their options fall to being a fighter, barbarian, paladin or the recently included monk class, while players who go for the spells will be a sorcerer, cleric or wizard. Meanwhile players who go for the specialist are given the option to be a ranger, rouge or bard.

After the character’s job class players are provided with the choice of their character build or in DDO’s case “paths”. There are three suggested builds per character, thus giving players an idea of what build their character should take. There is a fourth “customize” option where the more independent minded players could allocate stat points to make their own “path” for their character.

Players then decide what race their character would be from. There are five races available to choose from, namely: the Humans, the Elves, the Halflings, the Dwarves and the Warforged. There is a sixth race, the drow elf, but there is a fame requirement that players need to obtain before having access to it.

If that’s not enough, players can also customize their character’s appearance. Players are given the usual freedom to decide the color of the hair and skin of their character, which is extended to also being able to choose how the eyes , nose and mouth look. Players can also include facial hair and facial markings if they are looking for the more weathered look.

DDO gives a whole new meaning to the term “character customization”. Players are given great freedom when it comes to their character; each style has its own class and each class has its own paths to choose from, while the character race determines their character’s effectiveness as a solo dungeon runner or a party member.

The immense choices for the character may overwhelm new players. Those who are trying this game out the first time may find themselves spending a great deal of time on creating their characters. This may either be good or bad depending on the preference of the player.

Storyline
Because of the long history of Dungeons & Dragons, being the first fantasy tabletop game with an extensive fantasy world, I expected that this MMO should be in fact story driven. Thankfully Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach doesn’t fail in aspect.

After creating your character, you would be transported into the D&D world as a shipwrecked stranger. You were on your way to Stormreach when a white dragon attacked your ship and left you for dead at the shores of Korthos village. From there you meet people who ask for your help in exchange for information on how the game is played.

The shipwreck arc is the new addition included in the Module 8 update of DDO. Players eventually need to slay the ice breathing dragon that is terrorizing the whole village of Korthos before you can finally get to Stormreach. The storyline angle before the arrival to Stormreach is a nice way of tying-in the add-on change that was included just recently to the game. It neither destroyed the whole concept of DDO nor did it include too much info so that new players can still grasp their overall idea of the game.

DDO has well thought-of quest system; every quest you do is part of the whole story telling experience of the game. The quests in the game translate well to the whole story the player is trying to make in DDO.

The audio narration that is often heard while you are in a dungeon, is one of the elements that makes DDO such a great story telling experience. Not only does it give a player tips, it adds to the whole “you-are-part-of-this-story” feel that other MMOs fail to do.

Graphics and Sounds
DDO’s graphics and sounds are on par with other Pay-to-play MMOs, the weather effects add to the D&D feel of the game, giving the sense that you are in fact in Korthos or wherever you are in-game.

The graphics and sounds really help you immerse yourself into the world of D&D, making sure that you are in fact part of the whole community itself. There are instances where you can actually see people just lounging around or helping others out. Turbine has made sure that the NPCs are not static and that they actually do something rather than just stand like dolls.

Gameplay
Of course we must not forget that in any MMO the most important thing is not just the storyline, graphics and sounds but also the whole gameplay itself. Though the game does make a player immerse itself into the game, DDO has a few gameplay flaws.

One example is the awkward in-game controls, because as MMO players are used to just point-and-clicking, in DDO you can only use the keyboard for character movement while your mouse handles the interaction with the NPC and the like.

This could be unnerving to some. The controls get in the way sometimes, for example when you are fighting monsters. You may find yourself at times wasting more time in trying to determine on how to control your character to kill the monster rather than killing the monster itself. This could be very irritating when you’re soloing and your quest is a multi-level one.

Another thing is the camera angles. Sometimes the scenery would obstruct your line of sight even if you already fixed the angle of your view. This can be very irritating when you are in a middle of a fight and you need to make your character face your enemy before you can attack it. This can be quite frustrating, especially when you are in a very tight spot and taking down monsters spells either death or survival for your character.

Conclusion
With this said, I must conclude that DDO is not just for any casual MMO player out there. The first point is that there are too many choices during character creation. I think it’s great that it gives the player more freedom to choose their character preference but there are some who would rather get the default character type and spend more time getting to know the game.

Also, the free flow of the quest can be bothersome to those who are not used to quests like these. Some may be even overwhelmed on the vast amount of quests that are available for them.

The game controls are also hard to get used to, players would need to be patient and take their time adjusting to the controls. DDO is not just your typical MMO, it actually feels more like an RPG. The RPG-ish feel of DDO is of course expected, this is in fact Dungeons & Dragons, a table-top RPG. DDO is unlike other MMOs where you fall in love with it the first time. You would actually need to spend time before it grows on you. The question is, is the player willing to do it?

Pros:
* Immense choices in character creation
* Engaging story and narration

Cons:
* Awkward game controls
* Camera views can be irritating
* Players would need to spend time to actually have fun in game

La Tale Preview

by Brian Perry Jr.

OG Planet has had experience with the Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOGs) genre, hosting well-known games such as Cabal Online, Rumble Fighters, and Albatross 18. To some people’s surprise though, OG Planet has hosted and tested a new game that is very similar to Maple Story. LaTale, the next Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) hosted by OG Planet, went into Open Beta phase to allow any players to test or try out the new MMORPG.

However, those who didn’t try out the Open Beta, most will ask, "What was LaTale like?"

LaTale played as a 2D sidescrolling MMORPG. Having heard this, most will find LaTale as a clone to Maple Story. However, the customization and battle system were far apart from the two games. The customization of how a character looks, fights, and learns [skills] was dependent on the player.

Sound-wise and graphically, LaTale is very cutesy. The characters are anime-like and deformed, but not to the point as the characters in Maple Story. However, when I heard the intro of the login screen, I thought the game was directed for female audiences. Even the music, although anime-like, sounded feminine.

Aside from judging the sound and the looks of the game, I created a character, and I was actually spending time wondering how my character should look like. The depth of customization from the hairstyle and color, eyes, and clothing color was vast. In addition, I was also able to choose the gender and the job class I wanted. Although I will not discuss the convenience of choosing genders, having the job class available on the first level with in-depth descriptions is a great way to orient new players into the game.

After creating the character, I stepped into the world of LaTale. However, for new players including me, it was an intimidating task. The game does give you basic information on how the game plays, but since I wanted to know more about the game, talking to the NPC trainees to know more about the game was just a chore to know. After leaving the tutorial area, I was just confused and lost. I did not know what to do and what happened. Even with a level up, I did not understand what went on. I was on the verge of giving up, but thanks to Strata and ~UnknownBandit~ of Hidden-Street.net, I was able to understand the game more. I hope that OG Planet does explain the effects of what each event does and what happens after each occurrence.
Aside from the complaints, the battle system and the customization were LaTale’s main aspects of the game. For the job classes, the status points are fixed as you level up, but what skills you use and what weapon mastery you want is up to you. In the character selection menu, I counted that there were nine weapons in total that can be used, but two weapons were commonly equipped, knuckles for all classes and daggers for two classes.

The skill tree customization had its perks also. For every level up I gained one point for skills. This may sound rather meager, but in all honesty, the one skill point does great justice in the ultimate question, what should I spend it on? There were two skills tiers that points could be spent on, the support and the weapon skill tree tiers. However, before spending the point, I had to buy the skills that I wanted. While buying a skill is a negative, since the player may be under financial turmoil in the game, the feeling of earning a skill that helps combat or support the player is a great feeling. Should the player ever feel the boredom of their weapons, that player can buy a skill point reset for about 100,000 game currency.

The job system is pretty standard; you have Warriors for dealing high close range damage, Knights for tanking, Wizards for spell casting, and Explorers for long-range and item looting. Of the three classes that I played, Knight, Explorer, and Warrior, I found Explorers to be enjoyable for a new player to use. I did not play Wizards in depth simply because LaTale did not do a great job in what each tier of magic was great for. Wizards respectfully possibly may have the most customization in their skill tree, but they indeed have the most confusing builds on what should be done. Because Wizards are popular in the MMORPG job class category, this aspect shuns new players from using this particular job class as the starting first character. I do have hopes that LaTale and OG Planet will somehow resolve this issue.

The battle system is simplistic but developed into an economic way. LaTale offers two ways to attack, using a weak but fast attack or a strong but slow attack. What is interesting is that each weapon has a different effect when attacking single or multiple enemies as well as attack speed. For example, knuckles have the fastest attack speed but are weak in dealing single strikes, while spears and two-handed swords have great weapon attack and have automatic splash damage sacrificing attack speed. Magic was a different story, because mages could cast magic using different weapons, but using staves boosted their magic power and accuracy, and each elemental spell had different attacking styles, with wind being the fastest but weakest and vice versa with fire.

After sorting much confusion, LaTale was very friendly with supporting players with economical needs. The beginning quests supported players with game currency, potions, equipment, and experience. Because most of the skills drain a large amount of skill points (SP), this allows players to be support themselves easily by completing quests. In addition, the quests vary from hunting drops or certain amount of monsters and going from point A to point B.

Another convenience for me was that I was able to select the way and spawn point. For example, if I died, I would not spawn at the nearest town, but rather at these "respawn stones" or waypoints if I wanted to. However, when dying, I do lose experience and money, but an item called Iron Will prevents the loss of experience and money.

Although LaTale has good customization and gameplay, the game irks me. There are gameplay issues such as not being able to run and jump and climb a rope or ladder, but rather the community was the main setback. After OG Planet released the cash shop, with microphones included, I suddenly got to know the true face of the community. Not only the community acted poorly, but also acted immature. The whole server was filled with server chat regarding about mature themes, flames of a player, immaturity, and particularly bashing and comparing Maple Story and LaTale. An event occurred with the microphones regarding about my connection with the game and the players online. Because the microphones were recently released, my connection became unstable. I asked the community if they faced lag. However, the players denied, and instead replying as polite users, they insulted my computer and me. Not only that, the constant flow of microphone chat was nonstop that regular chat, buddy, guild, and whisper chat was impossible. Although this is Open Beta phase, the microphones were inexpensive and came in a bountiful amount.

Lastly, the game just had too many bugs. People exploited a certain town spawn point and gained millions of experience points. I also experienced a bug similar, but it was raising skill tree points instead of raising experience points.

Overall, LaTale had its ups and downs. Gameplay wise, it was fun playing as a crossbow Explorer, but with the obstacles of the community, gameplay issues, and bugs, I do have doubts when this game will commercially be released. For a person that has played Maple Story for two years, I may play LaTale, but with technical reasons, I may have to rethink this decision.

Damoria Review Convenience At Its Best

Without that biased look on the game in mind, for a strategy browser based MMO, Damoria seems to have a lot to offer. It has a great community of a large variety of cultures, and many players to compete against. Those being pretty major positive aspects of the game, I also fished out a pretty negative one, being the dependence on real cash to get your army going. It is really complicated and difficult to start off your kingdom without gold, and the Damoria team kicks in with their offer of gold for real life cash to get your out of your goldless misery! It is understandable that they need revenue, although I think it could be done in a different way as to be plausible by everyone.
Damoria is a very casual game that is extremely convenient to play. All you have to do is open up your web browser, login, and you’re set to play. I can see it to be very enjoyable if you do enjoy playing strategy/tactical games, let alone MMOS, and don’t mind wandering elsewhere while your army builds and your resources grow. Happy gaming!
Pros
-Varied Community
-Unique units for a strategy game
-Very convenient to play Cons
-Absence of sound
-Real cash for in-game gold renders gameplay almost effortless
-Complicated at first, there is a slight learning curve。 By Rick Charbs (Jammart), Onrpg writer Damoria is a simplistic strategy browser based MMORPG. Set in a medieval theme, one must expect castles, knights, kings, cavaliers, and the like!  It was developed by Damoria GmbH in 2008, and later published by BigPoint. Damoria has been in constant growth and expansion since then, with an active player base of 66 000! This is most likely due to the fact that the game is available in 16 languages; it truly is accessible to everyone (namely European countries). Being a mixed game of text based ideals and graphics for embellishment, Damoria earns its wide respect (not to mention addictive nature) in the browser based game world. The main goal of any Damoria player is to put together your own army and equip them with weapons made from raw materials that you gather on your own terms; this game is all about resource management. With this army, you are then charged with the mission of conquering your neighbours and work your way up to world domination!
Damoria provides you with many different buildings at your disposition. Some of the possible units you can create in terms of building are: construction offices, hiding place, quarry, dwellings, storage, military training area, sawmill, barracks, walls, marketplace, tournament field, stables, laboratory, senate, and many more. As you can see, there are some pretty unique building features in Damoria that you won’t see elsewhere (with a large emphasis on the senate).
Seeing as you have these wide ranged possibilities for building on land, you have to manage your village with precision in order to allow it to expand and develop further.  With that in mind, you also have to pay attention for enemy attacks and guard your castle. You have the option to ally with friends, which is highly recommended, in order to conquer others much more efficiently.
As a resource management game, Damoria has various mining, finance, and army building features. Create catapults, swords, bows, and arrows with materials you’ve gathered in the mines and in the woods. As they would say: “Here you will find everything your little conqueror heart desires.” Once you are set in your own land, you basically have the decision of fortifying your village further or take action against others to fight for the biggest castle, or better yet, the largest kingdom. That being said, this game is also very interactive. Not only can you fight other people real-time, you can trade with them as well. Trading is practically mandatory, at least within your own market, as it is the only consistent source of resource sharing. Damoria has a healthy mixture of text based components and graphical aspects to aid its performance. The interface and concept art is very inviting; however the game’s graphics are only mediocre, which is expected for a game solely played in your internet browser. There is nothing to complain about though, unless you find text based games revolting. As far as I know, there is no sound component to Damoria. Seeing as it is a very casual game, sound is not quite necessary, as you can just play your own media during your gameplay. This was most definitely not an issue for me! Generally not enjoying strategy based games, I come from a biased point of view. I found the combat and general gameplay to be rather dull, as you have to wait between resource gathering, money making, battling, etc. Sometimes the queues are pretty long, and leave you without much to do in-game. This resulted in me browsing forums, talking to friends, and listening to music while waiting (which is not a bad thing, however I was looking to play a game and not other things). Another factor that turned me off from this game was the fact my computer is not so speedy, and takes time to open new pages. Seeing as you have to open a new page every time you make an action in Damoria, one can only imagine how long it took me to get the game going.

Corum Online Review

By Kei Beneza (Dividelife), Onrpg writer Corum Online comes across as being a slightly older game. The graphics are outdated and it plays pretty slow, kinda like they're walking on squares. Although some characters have elven ears, there are no racial options in the game. After seeing the flashy trailer, I knew that it would be wise to give this game a try. Let's see what this game has to offer shall we?  Creating your character is probably your first kick-off when you start playing a game. The character creation menu doesn't really give you many options. Seeing his incredibly default figure will inspire the silent challenge of achieving higher levels and add unique features by obtaining gear sets and cool weapons. After entering your character's name, your next step would be to pick your class. Be aware that your gender would depend on whatever class you would be using. Aside from the lack of gender options, you cant pick your race either. This is a bit of a drag but hey, we didn't blame Ragnarok for giving us nothing but humans. The in-game classes consists of basic ones from early RPGs. The classes are as follows: Fighter, Ranger, Summoner, Sorceress, Priest and Arcus. Yeah, I too was wondering what an Arcus was. After checking it out, I learned that the Arcus was actually just an Archer (Would've been easier if those guys just called him an archer!). You can change your character's looks by pressing the CHANGE button, which will then scroll you through a couple of pre-made character designs. Note that only the hair and skin color changes upon doing so. The game lacks character creation options and that's a fact. After creating your character, you'll be given the option to choose your starting town (Ludilos for beginners). I honestly don't know why players have to pick their starting town since it's not like people want to go hardcore during their early levels. Either that or everyone can't fit in one town.   This is probably the only MMO that features a World Map - yeah you heard me right. On this map you roam around, instead of tediously traveling on foot, or by mount, in the game. The World map looks pretty similar to the old Final Fantasy 7 Map (not to mention their similarity in terms of graphics).  Areas are separated via zones in the map. The map is not a persistent area, meaning it's somewhat instanced (only party members can be seen). Not that I blame them, It would look pretty stupid if everyone's running around in the world map. Like any Final Fantasy game, the world map lets you go to your desired area. No, there are no monsters in the World Map, although it would've been better if there were (oops... I forgot that this isn't a turn-based game).  In terms of PVP:
A weird factor that I came across was the game's unfortunate instancing of PVP battles. After you invite another player to duel with you, both your characters will be teleported to an instanced arena (again, where no one can interfere).  Dungeons:
We all know that instanced dungeons are one of the best features of MMO games in general, and this game managed to keep up with the trend. In Corum Online however, instances can be owned by Guilds who will then be getting a whole lot of benefits upon doing so. Resources or even power can be gained upon owning an instance, so be sure to find a good guild when you start playing. You wouldn't want to miss out on what  dungeon ownership can earn you.   The visuals weren't as bad as I expected. Characters look pretty decent, especially for an outdated graphic engine. The characters look a bit anime-ish and their huge weapons provide enough aesthetics to lure anyone into playing. The interface is tad simple, with hot-key action bars on bottom left part of the screen and of course the health and mana bars that are brilliantly placed in the center of the HUD, making it easier to scroll your eyes around them. The game is actually STAT based, meaning you'll have a good depth of character build up. The stats however, don't greatly compliment the character's performance as well as they should. STR and INT should probably do more than just increase your damage (by an unnoticeable amount) and boost your mana points. The spells looks radical and somewhat captivating. The bright lights that engulf the place while performing your skill are quite catchy. For a game that has low graphic capabilities, the spells and effects look absolutely marvelous.   If you must know... yes, it is a grinding game. However, the game-play makes it quite fun. Though the game has a bunch of quests, these things just often points you to your proper leveling zone (and reward you with more like extra experience points when you're killing the right monsters). With elements from early RPGs condensed into a solid MMO, Corum Online is a pretty decent game. The sound system is a bit poor, especially since I've yet to hear an actual 'crunch' that would make me yearn for more grinding goodness. The World map is pretty much a good idea, although strolling on the same area that gradually changes as you go further would've been better that watching repetitive loading screens. The combat system is pretty nice since you're more than capable of taking on countless enemies all at once. The spell detail is quite appealing though it could use some work. A gender option would also be nice since not everyone's comfortable with playing a character that doesn't share their actual gender. Racial options would also be a big plus if ever possible. All in all, the game isn't that bad. It could use a bit of polishing but it's pretty much something worth playing. The Good- Outdated but quite stylish
- Instances
- Good PVP experience
- World map The Bad- Character customization
- Lack of sounds
- A bit linear
