Capcom has reported a drop in sales and earnings for the first financial quarter ended June 30. Sales at the company's flagship games division fell 56.9 percent year-over-year to 6,462 million yen (£51.5m), while operating income was down 76.5 percent to 419 million yen (£3.3m).The firm blamed the results on the fact that no major games were released during the three month period.Capcom said catalogue title Monster Hunter Freedom 3, plus June releases Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D and Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition "basically achieved projected sales".Earlier today, Capcom priced the HD remakes of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code Veronica X, and released new gameplay movies and screenshots for both titles.
