After taking time off MMA competition for marriage and later to recover from an injury,RIFT Platinum Amanda Lucas, daughter of Star Wars creator George Lucas, will have to wait a little longer for her return to the cage.

Lucas, who was scheduled to fight Saturday at Freestyle Cage Fighting 46 in Shawnee, rift gold Okla., did not agree Friday to fight after her opponent Heather Martin failed to make the contracted weight of 165 pounds.

"While she was willing to fight tomorrow, she was in no condition to," Lucas informed MMAFighting.com. "I came to fight at 165 pounds and fighting at 180 pounds or whatever amount she ended up at was not what I came to do. RIFT Platinum For five months I did everything in my power to make weight and show up in fight shape."

According to Lucas, Martin came in at 178 pounds and three hours later on her second attempt cut two pounds. On the third and final attempt, Martin registered in at 173 pounds.

Lucas, meanwhile, checked in with pounds to spare at 163.

"This is a professional sport, one I take seriously, and in which I dedicate my life to," Lucas said. Rift Gold "To fight someone in her condition or to fight someone way beyond the contracted weight is bad for both myself, and women's MMA.

"I will be back in the gym next week training for my next fight whenever that may be," she continued. "I appreciate everyone's support, and I look forward to competing in the near future."

Lucas holds a 1-1 professional MMA record and last competed in November 2009, earning a three-round unanimous decision over Christen Bedwell at FCF 37. RIFT PlatinumWhile Lucas' passion lies in martial arts, she made cameos in all three of her dad's Star Wars prequel films.
